The discovery of electricity began in the late 17th to early 18th century, when William Gilbert first systematically studied static electricity and coined the term "electricity."

In the 19th century, pioneers like Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla developed direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) power systems, establishing early electrical grids. By the 20th century, electricity had rapidly become widespread in industry, households, and transportation, becoming an indispensable infrastructure for modern society.

As electricity became widespread, numerous factories were established, and Formosa Plastics Corporation (FPC) was founded in 1941. This wire was produced by FPC's first generation, nearly 150 years ago. While it may seem commonplace today, it embodies the historical evolution and advancements in electrical technology, witnessing the success of that era's technological achievements.
